“On the Footsteps of Christ”

It is the title of a Lebanese documentary by “Philip Araktinji” that was shown by a local channel on Friday, about a trip to Lebanese places that have been “visited by Christ”. Has He really visited them? I believe He has visited them through the “Gospel of the Word”. So, I am not discussing, here, the idea of the movie, the watching of which was a pleasure that has compensated me for having missed watching it in the theater two years ago. What I care for is to appreciate the effort of all those who have worked on it, one by one. Lebanon, this is a country the beauty of which needs to be revealed today, especially today. Lebanon is not a bankrupt country, consisting of empty shopping malls, a hysterical rise in prices, and which is haunted, since many years, by the refrain of the blackout threat…, a country that is begging for a government… Where is the wise Lebanon, “Lebanon the message”, the beautiful Lebanon to which “the world” desires to come? The movie was a beautiful exhortation to search for the true Lebanon.
