An Ocean of Meanings

I have always considered Jesus' word: "ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find" (Matthew 7:7) a prompting to the cohesion of the awareness that the generosity of God is greater than everything we ask of Him. Days ago, I found myself captivated by a new exegete who has taught me that there was a specific request in the word. He based himself on its context in which Jesus forbids us from judging anyone. He said that, before trying to mend anyone, we should ask God to help us mend ourselves. This is the request. The Word of God is an ocean of meanings. Do we see ourselves zealous for others to be better? This is a holy zeal. Then, let us rush to God, day and night, asking Him: "O God, You Who are alone the God of beauty, do not allow me to judge anyone. Let my awareness of Your being my Judge open for me the door of testimony for Your Glory. This is my request. I ask you to grant me my request"!
