A Dying Church!

God Who is in the Church is the One Who gives her life, as do those who accept His dwelling in them. I will tell you this story: “a famous artist was entrusted with painting the picture of a dying church. Those who entrusted it to him expected him to present to them a painting of a poverty-stricken community, the number of which does not exceed that of one’s fingers, and which is worshipping in a faltering building. However, instead, he painted for them a huge and exceedingly beautiful church, on the locked door of which cobwebs had found a resting place”. The story is perfectly expressive and beneficial for every day. I wanted to relay it today, merely for us to remember that what we do not preserve, we do not deserve. If you point out the enemies of our life in Christ, do not forget sloth, do not forget the hiding behind fear, the fear of death which is besieging the world nowadays. With the love that sparks fire in the heart, we all can keep building the Church of God in us and on earth!
